Those that have light skin tone and a dark coarse hair.
What are the main risks?
Burns that might turn into scars especially on dark hair
patients, hypo-pigmentation – white spots
on the skin that will not disappear.
Is the treatment painful?
This is different from one to another as pain is a subjective
feeling. There are those who are more sensitive to pain, therefore are expected
to feel some pains more than the others. Obviously there are certain in the
body that are more sensitive and may be more painful when be treated. The Soprano
laser system is equipped with a cooling tip that reduces the level of pain significantly.
Can we use a numbing cream?

How long is each session?
This is a function of the size of the treated area and the
type of the laser being used. Legs will demand longer time while upper lip or
under arms will take much shorter time. You will have to be ready for 15
minutes to up to 2 and even 3 hours in case of multiple areas treated altogether.
Is the laser procedure efficient to light or blond colored
hair patients?
No. The laser beam uses the pigment of the hair as a
conductor to get into the follicle in order to destroy it. Light hair colors are lacking the amount of
pigment needed for the laser to get into the follicle. He same principle can be
seen as a black board will get much hotter than a white one while being exposed
to the sun.
I had a successful laser hair removal procedure but
suddenly, after a few years, the hair started growing again. Why?
It seems that there have been some hormonal changes in your
body. It is important to understand that
follicles that were destroyed by the laser cannot come into life. In your case
a new follicles, which were not existed before, were created by the hormones in
your body. In that case it is recommended to get a medical solution for that specific
hormonal issue. After that it is possible to have some more laser hair removal
sessions to get rid of the new hair.
Is it dangers to have the procedure done if I am still breastfeeding?

Is it possible to extend the time between sessions?
Sometimes the client is tempted to delay sessions in order
to save money. An effective procedure depends also on keeping the planned
sessions timing. The sessions were scheduled considering the hair circle of
growth. Breaching the schedule could reduce the procedure efficiency therefore
to increase the total number of sessions needed for the desired result. This might
bring the total cost of the procedure to a higher level.
Can the laser procedure actually cause an extended
regrowth?
Indeed there is such a risk, especially on the facial
area. This phenomenon could happen if
the technician uses a laser which was not maintained as should be, or using a
setup that is too law or using an IPL system which is not considered to be a
laser.
Why are the laser hair removal treatments so expensive?

Do I need to use numbing cream?
It is all depending on the type of laser system used the tolerance
of the patient to pain and the area being treated. The menstrual cycle might sometimes
increase the sensibility to pain. Vast majority of patients will not need to
use a numbing cream, but in any case those can be purchased over the counter.
Why do I need to shave the hair before the laser
treatment?
It is recommended to shave the hair on the day or the night
previous to the treatment day. This is to ensure a good contact between the
skin and the laser hand piece and to avoid the possibility of getting burns in
case the hair will get burned.
Can I wax the hair before the laser procedure?
Absolutely not! If a waxing was done you will need to wait
some time until the hair will grow back. Remember that we need the existence of
the follicle which the laser could destroy. Missing the follicle will eliminate
the efficiency of the treatment and prevent the removal of the hair.
Can I keep using medications for treating Acne while having
a laser procedure?
No. Those medications that widely prescribed by doctors for
treating acne (like Accutane) may increase the sensibility of the skin to a light
therefore are not recommended for use during laser procedures. You should stop
taking those medications a few months before starting the treatment.
Is it possible to be infected during a laser hair removal
procedure?
It is very important to keep a high standard of
sterilization as the laser hand piece is being in direct contact with the
patient skin. There is a real danger of getting infected with diseases such as
Herpes which could not be cured. The clinic must use only certified sanitizers
to clean the laser system. Alcohol is not sufficient for that purpose.
